- If you must have a receiving line after your ceremony, do
not include all your wedding party. It is much more effective
to limit your receiving line to you, your parents and immediate
family.
- Visit the guests tables at your reception between courses.
Talk to the table as a group.
- Tell your photographer what photos you want. Have your honor
attendants assist in directing the rest of the wedding party.
- When interviewing wedding professionals, make a list of questions
to ask at your initial consultation.
- Make sure that the wedding professional you hire is likable.
If you do not like them, do not hire them. (i.e.; Your photographer
asks you to look at them and smile, if you do not like him/her
are you going to smile? Probably not. Your wedding day is supposed
to be a joyous occasion, why not make it as fun as it could
be.)
- Think twice about asking friends or relatives to perform important
roles in planning your wedding. Many friendships and relationships
have been damaged due to unprofessional services. Rule of thumb,
"It's better to make a friend out of a wedding professional
than making a wedding professional out of your friend."
